I am bad at this. I know.. a whole year since I last blogged or uploaded anything!!I have been painting though... A lot actually!
And my beautiful daughter came to visit me last weekend..a blessing! And I have a puppy. A great Dane puppy!! I will post lots of photos of her and of paintings and my studio.

With my beautiful son, Dylan, on new year's day 2013. we had a lovely picnic in the mountains with
friends. dreaming about a new year of hope and courage. now its april already! we have had many shocks and lows but thankfully also beauty and bundles of hope.

a rainy wednesday night

its raining outside and i'm propped up in bed with my hubby and very sleepy dog. today was my virgo day.starting in the study I opened and cleaned-out drawers and cupboards and a few hours and rooms later our house has a fresh new feel (for me at least!)
had a good day of painting. working on commissions following my recent exhibition.
tomorrow i'l have a stack of new fresh canvasses that my darling husband made me. can't wait!
how lovely to paint and play house and cook for a living..

tuesday morning

I have been up since dawn. its a rainy sad day. my friend is leaving and we're on our way to the airport in just a few hours..what a lovely tea filled time it was! a few precious days of talking and listening and remembering good times and bad.

as we peeled back the years we touched a time when our children were small and needy and we had no time for the pursuits of  writers and artists. always running around on schoolruns and sport
events and survivor parties! now , many years on, the kids  need less time,less mothering from us and we're counting more hours in the day for writing in the quiet study or walking down to the bottom of the garden to where my studio stands under the maple tree.

ladies of cultural significance clearly?! oh lovely!...
